Background
On September 23, 2014, the Board authorized the Chief Administrative Officer to sign the acceptance for the 2014 JAG Grant award effective October 1, 2013 to September 30, 2015, and to establish the revenue and appropriations for the Sheriff's and District Attorney's Offices. At that time, a Budget Transfer was not submitted.

The Sheriff's Office wishes to use these funds to cover lodging, meals, airfare and registration fees for 8 Detectives to attend the California Narcotics Officers Association Annual Training Institute, and is submitting a Budget Transfer to establish the revenue and appropriations for this expense.

Reason for Recommendation
Approval of this recommendation would allow the Sheriff's Office to fund training for several staff members.

Clerk of the Board Follow Up Actions
The Budget Transfer will be routed through to the Auditor's Office for posting.
