Community Development Agency, Transportation Division, recommending the Board consider the following:
1) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign the Notice of Acceptance with V&C Construction, Inc. for the Montgomery Estates Area 3 Erosion Control Project, CIP 95172, Agreement PW 14-31077, P&C 383-1599; and
2) Authorize the Clerk of the Board to release the Payment and Performance Bonds to the Surety upon notification from the Community Development Agency, Transportation Division after the one-year guarantee period.
FUNDING: Project is funded by United States Forest Service Grants (97%) and a Tahoe Regional Planning Agency Water Quality Grant (3%).

Community Development Agency, Transportation Division, recommending the Board consider the following:
1) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign the Notice of Acceptance with V&C Construction, Inc. for the Montgomery Estates Area 3 Erosion Control Project, CIP No. 95172, Agreement PW No. 14-31077, P&C No. 383-1599; and
2) Authorize the Clerk of the Board to release the Payment and Performance Bonds to the Surety upon notification from the Community Development Agency, Transportation Division after the one-year guarantee period.
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The contract for the Montgomery Estates Area 3 Erosion Control Project (Project) was approved by the Board on June 2, 2015. Construction was substantially completed on August 20, 2015. Recordation of the Notice of Acceptance will start legal time frames for guarantees, a lien period and return of retention monies. Recordation of the Notice of Acceptance will also start the one-year time frame for releasing the Payment and Performance Bonds to the Surety.
