DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATIONS:

Surveyor's Office recommending the Board adopt a Resolution of Vacation for Abandonment of Easement 15-010 (AOE 15-010) to abandon a portion of the drainage easement on Lot 176 of "WEST VALLEY VILLAGE UNIT NO. 1B," recorded at Book J of Subdivisions at Page 95, identified as Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 118-430-73, requested by Laurel J. Jaffee.

 

DISCUSSION BACKGROUND:

A request has been submitted by, Laurel J. Jaffee, owner of APN 118-430-73, requesting that the County of El Dorado, Board of Supervisors, vacate the portion of the drainage easement located on the subject property. Said easement is more particularly described in Exhibit A, and depicted on Exhibit B of attached Resolution.

 

The drainage easement, as shown on Lot 176 of "WEST VALLEY VILLAGE UNIT NO. 1B", recorded at Book J of Subdivisions at Page 95 was offered to the County of El Dorado by, LANDSOURCE HOLDING COMPANY LLC, A DELAWARE LIMITED LIABILITY COMPANY, on June 26, 2007. The easement was accepted by the County of El Dorado on August 28, 2007 and the Subdivision Map recorded on August 30, 2007.

OTHER DEPARTMENT / AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:

The Community Development Agency, Transportation Division has not used said portion of the easement for the purpose for it was dedicated and finds no present or future need exists for this easement and does not object to its vacation, and to that end, has provided written approval to the County Surveyor’s Office;

 

CAO RECOMMENDATION:

Chief Administrative Office recommends moving staff's recommendations.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact associated with this item.

 

CLERK OF THE BOARD FOLLOW UP ACTIONS:

1) Clerk of the Board to obtain the Chair's signature on one (1) original Resolution.

2) Clerk of the Board to record the Resolution and attached Exhibits.

3) Clerk of the Board to return one (1) copy of the recorded Resolution and attached Exhibits to the Surveyor's Office for further processing.

 

DEPARTMENT FOLLOW UP ACTIONS:

Surveyor's Office will coordinate with the applicant's Professional Land Surveyor or Registered Civil Engineer licensed to practice surveying, to have the Certificate of Correction Modification or Amendment recorded on Book J of Subdivisions at Page 95.
