Community Development Agency, Long Range Planning Division, recommending the Board receive and file information regarding implementation of the updated Sign Ordinance, which was approved by the Board on July 28, 2015 and became effective on August 27, 2015.
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
On July 28, 2015, the Board adopted a comprehensive update to the Sign Ordinance and directed staff to return to the Board within six months to review the implementation status of the Ordinance. Please see Attachment 8A for more information.

OTHER DEPARTMENT / AGENCY INVOLVEMENT
Implementation of the updated Sign Ordinance has been a collaborative effort of the following Community Development Agency Divisions: Long Range Planning, Development Services, Code Enforcement, Environmental Management, and Transportation.
CAO RECOMMENDATION
Chief Administrative Office recommends the Board receive and file information regarding implementation of the updated Sign Ordinance.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no change to the Net County Cost. Implementation of the updated Sign Ordinance has been completed with in-house staff resources and within the current Fiscal Year 2015/2016 budgets for each of the Community Development Agency Divisions involved.
