Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:

This Amendment will be funded through various Lake Tahoe Erosion Control Grants. There is no cost to the County General Fund.

Reason for Recommendation:

On January 25, 2005, the Board approved AGMT # 04-754 with David Ford Consulting Engineers, Inc. for hydrology and hydraulic engineering services. In December 2005, the Department amended AGMT # 04-754 to extend the expiration date to January 25, 2007 and to include a revised fee schedule. The Department originally selected David Ford Consulting Engineers, Inc. for this Agreement because, having worked on the development of the County Drainage Manual in 1995, this firm is uniquely qualified to provide the requisite analyses and recommendations to the Department under the scope of services in this Agreement. With this Amendment being extended for three years, David Ford Consulting Engineers, Inc. will continue to provide specialty hydrology and hydraulic (H & H) engineering services specific to the Lake Tahoe Basin that are currently unavailable within the County.
