Transportation Department recommending Chairman be authorized to sign Amendment 2 to Agreements AGMT 03-503 with ENTRIX, Inc. and AGMT 06-1219 with Stantec Consulting, Inc. to provide planning, design, project management services for erosion control/water quality projects in the Tahoe Basin; said amendments add various Federal and State provisions and various other amendments as outlined in "Reason for Recommendation":

There is no Fiscal Impact associated with this agenda item. There is no cost to the County General Fund.
Background:
In March 2004, the Department entered into an Agreement with ENTRIX, Inc. (ENTRIX) and in July 2004, the Department entered into an Agreement with Stantec Consulting Inc. (Stantec) to perform various engineering tasks to assist Tahoe Engineering Division staff in delivering Environmental Improvement Program (EIP) projects and to assist with programmatic needs when requested.
In April 2005, Amendment I to AGMT # 03-503 was entered into between the Department and ENTRIX extending the expiration date to December 31, 2007; increasing compensation by $2,000,000.00 for a not-to-exceed amount of $2,500,000; amending Article XV, Notice to Parties; and, amending Article XXV, Contract Administrator.
In May 2005, Amendment I to AGMT # 04-607 was entered into between the Department and Stantec extending the expiration date to December 31, 2007; increasing compensation by $3,232,000.00 for a not-to-exceed amount of $3,982,000; amending Article XV, Notice to Parties; and, amending Article XXV, Contract Administrator.
Reason for Recommendation:
The purpose of these Amendments is to add various Federal and State provisions, which are required by the granting agencies that fund the work performed under these Agreements.
