Reason for Recommendation: To increase public awareness about the County's commitment to quality emergency medical services offered in our community, the El Dorado County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Agency requests designation of May 20 - 26, 2007 as Emergency Medical Services Week in concert with its nationwide observance. The week will be devoted to raising the publics awareness of, and education on, the emergency medical services provided throughout the County as well as the coordination, implementation and development of EMS systems in California. Emergency Medical Services Agencies throughout the nation recognize EMS Week.
Action to be taken following Board approval: Chair to sign two (2) copies of attached proclamation; Board Clerk's Office to return one original to Department; Department to distribute accordingly.
