Transportation Department recommending Chairman be authorized to sign Funding and Road Maintenance Agreement with Serrano El Dorado Owners' Association for the Serrano-Silva Valley Slurry-Striping Project; and recommending the installation of all-way STOP controls on Serrano Parkway at its intersections with Terracino Drive, Villagio Drive, Collingtree Drive/Torino Way, and Penniman Drive/Greenview Drive (East).
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve.

The cost associated with the subject agreement is estimated at $7,500 and includes reimbursing Serrano El Dorado Owner's Association for one third of the cost of a public information sign ($1244.05), providing inspection services during construction estimated at $5,000, and the balance of approximately $1250 for DOT to install the STOP signs. Funding is through the Road Fund.
Separate from the Agreement which allows for the slurry seal surface treatment of the roadways, DOT as part of its budgeted road maintenance program has preformed needed base failure repairs and drainage improvements. These repairs cost approximately $100,000.
Reason for Recommendation:
The County, El Dorado Irrigation District (EID) and the Serrano El Dorado Owners’ Association (Serrano) are working jointly on a project to complete pavement repairs, drainage improvements and surface treatment to Serrano and Silva Valley Parkways. The DOT's Maintenance Division, as part of its road maintenance program, has performed base failure repairs and drainage improvements.
