REASON FOR RECOMMENDATION: At the request of the General Services Department, Parks and Grounds Division, the Procurement and Contracts Division issued a Request for Qualifications and Statement of Interest (RFQ) for the pupose of hiring a professional consulting firm to provide landscape architecture and civil engineering services for the proposed 26.4 acre Community Park in Pollock Pines.
Seven (7) Requests for Qualifications were mailed, eight (8) responses were received. Those that responded were:

An evaluation committee comprised of panelists from General Services Department and the Department of Transportation reviewed responses on the basis of each firm's abilities and experiences relative to the design of community parks and their ability to perform the design and engineering work identified in the RFQ.
After careful review of the responses, the evaluation committee selected The HLA Group, Landscape Architects & Planners, Inc. whose response best meets the needs for the County.
