Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:

These consultant services are funded by the 2004 General Plan Traffic Impact Mitigation Fee Program. The Department of Transportation (DOT) has sufficient revenues budgeted to fund this Task Order. There is no net cost to the County General Fund associated with this agenda item.

Background:

On April 17, 2007, the Board authorized the Department to negotiate a new contract with Quincy Engineering, Inc., (QEI) to provide consultant services for the El Dorado Hills Boulevard Interchange and Highway 50 High Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) and Mainline Lanes. A request to authorize execution of this Agreement (AGMT #07-1435) is also being presented to the Board under a separate Agenda Item (07-642) of this same agenda. Assuming approval is granted as requested in item 07-642, it is being requested that the Board also approve in concept the issuance of the first task order under this contract.
