Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:

Sufficient funds are available for this agenda item in the U.S. 50 / Missouri Flat Road Interchange Improvements (Phase 1B) Project, FY 07/08 budget, which is funded through the TIM. There is no net cost to the County General Fund associated with this agenda item.

Background:

The U.S. Hwy. 50/Missouri Flat Road Interchange Project #71366 (Phase 1B), requires that a Temporary Construction Easement be acquired from the subject property owner in order to accommodate the widening of the Weber Creek Bridge (Veterans Memorial Bridge) on U.S. Hwy. 50 just east of the Missouri Flat Road Interchange and to construct the new westbound off-ramp from U.S. Hwy. 50 onto Missouri Flat Road. The subject property consists of a commercial pad and is located on the southeastern corner of the Safeway Shopping Center.

On July 18, 2006, your Board authorized DOT's Right of Way Unit to engage in negotiations to acquire temporary land rights for a portion of the subject property.
