Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:The total funding for this agreement is $104,000 for the one year contract. Funding is provided by State Managed Care funds and Realignment. There is no Change to Net County Cost.

Background: The Mental Health Department has contracted with Maxim Healthcare Services, Inc. to provide licensed health care providers to supplement the availability of personnel for the Psychiatric Health Facility on an "as needed" basis. The original amount of the agreement was for an amount not to exceed $10,000.00 with a term to expire April 10, 2007. Amendment I was processed increasing the compensation by $25,000.00 for a total not to exceed amount of $35,000.00. Amendment II was processed extending the term through April 30, 2007 (pending a new contract beginning May 1, 2007) and increasingthe compensation by $65,000.00 for a total not to exceed amount of $100,000.00. Procurement and Contracts has prepared Amendment III to increase the compensation by $4,000.00 to cover additional invoices received for services provided within the term of the agreement.

The Purchasing Agent has coordinated the review of the consultant's qualifications to perform the needed services with the Psychiatric Health Program Manager from Placer County and the Director of Nursing from Sacramento Coun...
