Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: There is no increase in net County cost. The FY 2007-08 Accumulated Capital Outlay Budget has funds budgeted for the environmental impact assessment services.

Background: On June 27, 2006 the El Dorado County Board of Supervisors approved Agreement PLS-06-01 (#345-S0711) with Pacific Municipal Consultants, Inc. (PMC) in the amount of $150,000 for a term to expire July 1, 2007. This agreement provides County Departments with environmental impact assessment services for infrastructure and capital projects on an “as needed” basis. Included in the Scope of Services was the preparation of the environmental impact assessments for several County capital projects, including but not limited to the Green Valley Road/Lotus Road Realignment Project; Improvements to the Durock Road/Business Intersection; Improvements to the El Dorado Hills Boulevard/Brittany Road Intersection; the Pollock Pines Community Park; and the El Dorado County Animal Control Facility. In addition, the Development Services Department has contracted with Pacific Municipal Consultants, Inc. for the provision of environmental impact assessments services on an "as needed" basis to assist the Planning division in meeting critical project review and construction deadlines.
