Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: No Change. Agreement is funded by the Social Services allocation with required County match dollars. Funds are budgeted for FY 2006/07 and FY 2007/08, and the remainder will be included in the FY 2008/09 County Budget Request.

Background: Procurement and Contracts prepared Agreement for Services #054-S0711 with Fiscal Experts, Inc. for the provision of specialized financial consulting/training services for the Department of Human Services, Social Services Division’s fiscal management staff. Services were required in order to maximize revenues while minimizing the County’s share of costs relative to budgeting and claiming for the California Department of Social Services allocations to El Dorado County. The Board approved and executed Agreement for Services #054-S0711 with Fiscal Experts, Inc. on August 15, 2006.

Reason for Recommendation: Social Services financing is intricate due to a high degree of diversity in State revenue systems.
