Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: No change. Resolution No. PHA 1-07, attached, authorized submittal of an application to HUD for up to $40,016 for a three-year Continuum of Care Homeless Assistance Programs Supportive Housing Program and approved a General Fund contribution of $9,540 to meet match requirements for all three years. Match of $5,500 for the first year is available in the FY 2007/08 Affordable Housing Project’s General Fund Contribution, budgeted exclusively for Housing Element Implementation.



Reason for Recommendation:

On May 23, 2007 the Board of Supervisors, as the El Dorado County Public Housing Authority (EDCPHA), adopted Resolution No. PHA 1-07authorizing submittal of an application to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for a three-year Continuum of Care Homeless Assistance Programs Supportive Housing Program grant in an amount up to $40,016 to purchase and implement a Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) to facilitate the gathering, compilation and study of data related to the homeless population in El Dorado County.
