Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: None. Revenue will offset expenditures and there is no County match required.

Background: The California Multi-Jurisdictional Methamphetamine Enforcement Team was established in FY06/07 and is comprised of eight counties, including El Dorado, Butte, Nevada, Placer, Sierra, Yolo and Yuba county. The basic mission of the Task Force is for joint coordination of local law enforcement agencies to intedict and reduce the production, manufacturing, distribution and trafficking of methamphetamine. The Yolo County Sheriff's Office is grantee and lead agency for this initiative.

Reason for Recommendation: The grant award from the State of California Office of Emergency Services is for a total of $1,578,945. El Dorado County's portion of the grant is $209,108.
