Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: No Change. The Agreement is funded by the Social Services allocation with required County match met primarily with realignment resources. Funds are budgeted for FY 2008-09 and will also be included in the Department's FY 2009-10 requested budget.

Reason for Recommendation: Non-Standard Agreement #805-S0811 is necessary to enable the Department of Human Services (DHS) Child Protective Services (CPS) Program to continue to access the web-based interactive child welfare management reporting system developed by the National Council on Crime and Delinquency and titled “SafeMeasures®.” SafeMeasures® provides client service delivery activity, specifically face-to-face contact information, to CPS via Management Information Systems data that is provided by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS).

Immediate access to these timely reports from SafeMeasures® ensures compliance with court orders, timely CPS referrals and appropriate management and maximization of the CDSS funding allocation while helping ensure that DHS meets State and Federal Outcome Measures as required...
