Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: The total funding for this agreement is $154,996.00 for the one year contract. There is no Change to Net County Cost.
Background: In November 2004, California voters passed Proposition 63, now known as the Mental Health Services Act (MHSA). A local Community Services and Supports (CSS) plan was developed to determine how MHSA financing would be used in El Dorado County. In January 2006, the Board of Supervisors (BOS) approved the three-year CSS plan for submission to the California Department of Mental Health (DMH). The County’s CSS plan was formally approved by the State on April 28, 2006 and the County presently receives MHSA funding through Agreement number #644-S0811 with California DMH.
One of the programs identified in the County’s CSS plan is a Wraparound (WRAP) program for children and transitional age youth. Wraparound is an intensive, individualized case management process for children and adolescents with serious or complex psycho-social problems and/or emotional disturbance. During the wraparound process a multi-disciplinary team (including family members) relevant to the specific issues affecting a child or adolescent work to collaboratively develop an individualized plan.
