DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION
AQMD recommends the Board, acting as the AQMD Board of Directors, approve and authorize the Chair to sign an amendment to agreement #470-F1611 with EDCOC. This amendment extends the agreement term which will allow continued shuttle operations with awarded funds not yet expended.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
On 3/8/16, the Board approved an award of the eligible AB 2766 Fiscal Year 2016/17 projects, including an award of $151,000 to the EDCOC for the Stay & Play shuttle project, and authorized the Air Pollution Control Officer to execute agreements with applicants. To date EDCOC has expended $94,070 of grant funding in providing shuttle services to El Dorado County visitors attending special events. A balance of $56,930 remains. The amendment does not increase the amount awarded. The amendment extends the term by one year.

ALTERNATIVES
The Board may not approve the amendment. This alternative would result in the termination of the Stay & Play shuttle project on 2/28/18.

OTHER DEPARTMENT / AGENCY INVOLVEMENT
None

CAO RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the Board approve this item if it wishes to extend this program, which helps to provide transportation altneratives as to reduce traffic in El Dorado County for regional venues, destinations, events and attractions.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
There is no financial impact and no change to net County cost. Unexpended funds will be used for the extension.
