Body

DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION

AQMD recommends the Board, acting as the AQMD Board of Directors, approve and authorize the Chair to sign an amendment to agreement #470-F1611 with EDCOC.  This amendment extends the agreement term which will allow continued shuttle operations with awarded funds not yet expended.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

On 3/8/16, the Board approved an award of the eligible AB 2766 Fiscal Year 2016/17 projects, including an award of $151,000 to the EDCOC for the Stay & Play shuttle project, and authorized the Air Pollution Control Officer to execute agreements with applicants.  To date EDCOC has expended $94,070 of grant funding in providing shuttle services to El Dorado County visitors attending special events.  A balance of $56,930 remains.  The amendment does not increase the amount awarded.  The amendment extends the term by one year.

ALTERNATIVES

The Board may not approve the amendment.  This alternative would result in the termination of the Stay & Play shuttle project on 2/28/18.

OTHER DEPARTMENT / AGENCY INVOLVEMENT
