Sheriff’s Office recommends signing Exhibits A & B to the Cooperative Law Enforcement Agreement 18-LE-11051360-002 to provide funding for the Sheriff’s patrol services, and for detection of locations and activities related to the illegal production and trafficking of controlled substances.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Cooperative Law Enforcement Agreement between the El Dorado County Sheriff and the United States Forest Service (USFS) outlines the general parameters of the working relationship between the two agencies for the enforcement of state and local laws. Amendments are typically made in the form of Exhibits A, for patrol services, and B, for controlled substance operations, on an annual basis depending on the amount of funding available from the USFS.
