Reason for Recommendation: The Department of Transportation (DOT) purchased the following equipment with Grant funding from Air Resources Board (ARB) Grant Number G06-PA638 to replace existing equipment:

- One (1) Pape Model 7320T 310SJ Backhoe Loader
- One (1) John Deere model 624K Four Wheel Drive Loader
- Two (2) John Deere model 772 G Motor Graders

The equipment replaced by these purchases is:

- One (1) 1990 John Deere Model 410C Backhoe
- One (1) 1982 John Deere Motor Grader model 670A
- One (1) 1987 John Deere Motor Grader model 670
- One (1) 1983 John Deere Loader model 544C

A list of the items of surplus is attached for your review.

A condition of this Grant was the disposal as scrap of the replaced equipment. The Department of Transportation identified a need within the El Dorado County Fair to replace the backhoe equipment in use by the Fair and contacted the Air Resources Board to obtain clarification and permission to satisfy the terms of the Grant by donation and exchange of the existing DOT equipment to the El Dorado County Fair and the scrapping of the backhoe equipment rec...
