DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

On December 5, 2017 (Item 9, File 17-1292), the Board adopted Resolution 177-2017 which provides for a total of four Members At-Large on the Community and Economic Development Advisory Committee (CEDAC).  Due to a resignation of one of the Member's At-Large, the office of the Clerk of the Board posted a Notice of Vacancy in late June and received applications from four interested citizens.  As a result, the Clerk applied Board Policy I-5 to form a Committee Application Review Team (CART).  The CART reviewed the four applications and conducted interviews with each applicant on August 27, 2018 to provide the Board with a recommendation for appointment.

The CART consisted of:

CJ Freeland, Department Analyst II, Housing, Community and Economic Development Program

Tiffany Schmid, Principal Analyst, Chief Administrative Office (staff to the Community and Economic Development Advisory Committee)

Jim Mitrisin, Clerk of the Board of Supervisors

Pursuant to Policy I-5, the Board is  provided with four applications.
