DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

APN No. 327-270-43, 327-270-46, and 327-270-50 are located on the north side of China Garden Road, east of Missouri Flat Road, in Diamond Springs with no established address.  The properties consist of approximately 8 acres. APN No. 051-250-51 and 051-250-54 are located west of Throwita Way in Diamond Springs with no established address.  The properties consist of approximately 15.5 acres.  The potential acquisitions are necessary for the Diamond Springs Parkway - Phase 1B Project (CIP 72334).

 

ALTERNATIVES

The Board could choose to not appoint a real estate negotiator and therefore not acquire the parcels which would not allow the project to proceed.

CAO RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the Board is approve this item.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

There is no change to net County cost associated with this item.  Funding for the Project is included in Transportation’s 2018 CIP, which was approved by the Board on June 26, 2018 (Item 61).
