DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, Division of Juvenile Justice (“CDCR/DJJ”) agrees to provide Diagnostic Studies, Treatment Services and Temporary Detention for delinquent youth referred from Juvenile Court to the County of El Dorado. The County of El Dorado agrees to compensate the CDCR/DJJ, for services performed at CDCR/DJJ facilities.

Staff is requesting the Board of Supervisors make findings that it is more economical and feasible to contract with CDCR/DJJ for services referred from Juvenile Court. Services provided by CDCR/DJJ are specialized and El Dorado County Probation does not have staff trained to provide these services.
