1) Establish pricing for the annual subscription fee from June 1, 2020 through May 31, 2021 in the amount of $2,917; and
2) Allow up to 3% annual subscription renewal fee increase, with thirty (30) day written notice.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The District Attorney's Office has contracted with Lexipol since June 2008 to provide updates to the District Attorney's policy manual that was previously developed by Lexipol. Services include urgent updates to change policy as a result of precedent setting court decisions, urgent legislation or extraordinary incidents in the field, changes and updates the District Attorney wishes to make throughout the year, and Lexipol's recommended changes and updates based on case law, legislation and legal experience.
Amendment III establishes the annual cost for these services at a flat rate of $2,917 per year, with the first effective period being June 1, 2020 - May 31, 2021. The amendment also allows the vendor to increase the subscription fee annually, with a thirty (30) day written notice. The rate increase is not to exceed 3% annually.
ALTERNATIVES
If the Board does not approve agreement 043-S1611, Amendment III, the District Attorney's Office would be unable to continue with services providing policy manual update guidance.
PRIOR BOARD ACTION
Legistar 19-0931, June 25, 2019 - Board approved and authorized the continuation of the District Attorney's list of perpetual agreements and software licenses.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
