Body

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

A request has been submitted by Harry C. Elliott, IV, Trustee of the Harry C. Elliott IV Revocable Trust dated June 29, 2007, owner of Assessor's Parcel Number 110-633-004, requesting that the County of El Dorado, Board of Supervisors, vacate a drainage easement located on said property. Subject easement is more particularly described in Exhibit A and depicted on Exhibit B of the attached Resolution.

The  drainage easement, as shown on Lot 15 of Vista Del Lago Unit One, recorded in Book H at Page 46, was offered to the County of El Dorado by Southpointe Joint Venture, A California Limited Partnership By: Southpointe/El Dorado, L.P., A California Limited Partnership, Its General Partner By: Southpointe/El Dorado Development Company, A California Corporation, Its General Partner, on October 5, 1990. The easement was acknowledged by the County of El Dorado on January 29, 1991, and the Subdivision Map was recorded on February 25, 1991.

ALTERNATIVES
An alternative would be to not adopt a Resolution of Vacation for Abandonment of Easement 20-0008. By utilizing this alternative, the owner of Assessor's Parcel 110-633-004, would be unable to pursue any development that would impact subject easement.
