Title: Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) recommending the Board: 1) Make findings in accordance with El Dorado County Ordinance Code, Chapter 3.13.030 (c) that the limited timeframes, temporary or occasional nature, or schedule for the project or scope of work, the ongoing aggregate of work to be performed under Agreement 6246 is not sufficient to warrant the addition of permanent staff; 2) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign Funding Agreement 6246 with El Dorado County Community Health Center, for the provision of supporting COVID-19 reopening and recovery activities, with a maximum contractual obligation of $125,000 for the term of execution through June 30, 2023; and 3) Authorize the Health and Human Services Agency Director or their designee to execute further documents relating to Agreement 6246, including amendments which do not increase the maximum dollar amount or term of the Agreement, and contingent upon approval by County Counsel and Risk Management. DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND:
On March 2, 2021, El Dorado County Public Health received a direct funding allocation letter from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) regarding expansion funding through the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act of 2021, P.L. 116-260, to provide additional support as we continue to address COVID-19 within our communities. The funding term is January 15, 2021 to July 31, 2023. El Dorado County, as the primary recipient of the allocation, has identified needs that fall within the scope and purpose of the allocation and which are provided through local health care organizations.
