DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
In prior years, each department delivered a brief presentation on their department to the Board. The Chief Administrative Office has received requests to bring back these annual, public presentations. The presentations have been scheduled for Special Meetings during January 31, 2023, and February 1, 2023.
These briefings are intended to provide high-level information about the department, such as total budget, net county cost, description of funding sources, number of full-time equivalent employees, services, program metrics, role in the strategic plan, and any upcoming policy issues. These presentations are not meant to be discussions on budget needs or requests.
The following departments will be presenting during the February 1, 2023, meeting:
- Probation
- Clerk of the Board
- CAO
- County Counsel
- HR/Risk
- IT
- Registrar of Voters
- Agriculture
- Environmental Management
- Surveyor
ALTERNATIVES
The Board could choose not to receive the presentations.
