Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: Funding is included in the fiscal year 2009/2010 Fleet Operations Fund and will be included in future budgets covered by the term of this Agreement. There is no change to Net County Cost.

Reason for Recommendation: Under the proposed Agreement, Frank’s Body Shop, Inc., will furnish personnel, equipment, materials, parts, supplies, subcontractors and services necessary to provide on-call equipment, truck and automobile body work and painting services. Details of the work will include structural damage alignment including frame straightening, repairing and replacing sheet metal panels, welding, plastic repair, replacing parts, repairing or replacing glass, performing associated maintenance and repair services, towing services, refinishing vehicles and equipment to an original color match including paint mixing, tinting and blending.

The Agreement is necessary to repair and maintain vehicles and equipment for the Department’s Fleet Services Unit. The services performed under this agreement require special skills and qualifications that are not expressly identified in County classifications.
