Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: No change. The Agreement is funded by the Social Services allocation with required County match met primarily with realignment resources. Funds are included in the Department’s FY 2010-11 requested budget and will also be included for FY 2011-12.

Compensation for Services: As specified in Exhibit A, the County is to pay 50% of the Reporting Service Fee ($10,500) on the contract effective date (July 1, 2010) and the remainder ($10,500) on the anniversary date of the contract, i.e. July 1, 2011.

Reason for Recommendation: The Department of Human Services (DHS) uses the web-based interactive child welfare management reporting system developed by the National Council on Crime and Delinquency (NCCD), referred to as “SafeMeasures®, to access Child Protective Services (CPS) client service delivery activity data via reports that are based on Management Information Systems data provided by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS). The current Agreement 805-S0811 with NCCD was executed by the Board on July 1, 2008 and expires on June 30, 2010.
