It is recommended the Board of Supervisors receive a presentation for the Year of the Child, presented by Chief Probation Officer Gregory Sly, on behalf of the El Dorado County Probation Department. The presentation will address the programs and services provided to youth in our community by the Probation Department staff and collaborative community partners. The Probation Department provides services to delinquent and at-risk youth throughout the County with collective goals of delinquency prevention, rehabilitation, family reunification, accountability, victim support and public safety. Topics will include Juvenile Referral and Intake Services, Court Services, Juvenile Supervision, Treatment Programs and Detention Facilities, including both the Juvenile Hall and Juvenile Treatment Center.
