Reason for Recommendation:
The Contract for the Rubicon 5 Erosion Control Project (Project) was executed by the Board on July 27, 2010.  The Project was completed on October 19, 2010.
 
Execution of the Notice of Acceptance will start legal time frames for guarantees, a lien period and return of retention monies.
 
The total construction cost of the Project is listed below:
 
Original Bid Price                              $385,442.00
 
Contract Item Cost                              $378,062.50
Contract Change Order                        $    6,907.50
Final Cost of Construction Contract                $384,970.00
 
There was one Contract Change Order on this Project, which was necessary to complete various AC pavement tie-in work related to the construction of several drainage facilities.  The work was covered under the Contract Item for miscellaneous paving.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:
1) The Chair will sign the Notice of Acceptance.
2) The Board Clerk will send the Notice of Acceptance to the Recorder/Clerk's Office for recordation and forward a copy of the recorded Notice of Acceptance to the Department.
