Body

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

The attached staff report provides an update to the Board on Parks activities, including current projects, potential projects, and funding opportunities (Attachment A). Staff is seeking direction from the Board prior to applying for State Parks grants for improvements at Forebay Community Park, a campground at Chili Bar Park, property acquisition and development of a sports complex, and acquisition of a property for river access (Thomas property).  A Fiscal Analysis Report for the development of a sports complex is also attached in order to inform the Board of this opportunity prior to submitting an application for grant funding (Attachment C).

Staff is requesting the board provide direction on which projects they would like submitted for the grant opportunities.  Staff is requesting the board approve and sign the associated resolution for the projects approved.  This will enable staff to move forward and not return to the board with the required resolutions.

ALTERNATIVES
