DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION:
Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) recommending the Board accept this funding offered by the California Department of Public Health for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) Get Fresh Program for the period October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2019. The health promotions activities covered by this grant focus on establishing healthy eating habits and a physically active lifestyle, along with primary prevention of diseases specific to a target population of County residents who are eligible for the SNAP-Ed program.
