DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION
Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) recommending the Board approve and authorize the Chair to sign a Budget Transfer Request (BTR) to increase the revenue and appropriations by $169,036 of State funding due to the receipt of the California Department of Public Health’s Local Oral Health Program Grant. The Board previously authorized HHSA’s Director to submit a grant application for this program, accept the funding if awarded, and execute the resulting agreement (Item No. 17-1193; Agenda No. 10). HHSA is further requesting the Board adopt and authorize the Chair to sign the attached Personnel Allocation Resolution, thereby increasing the current Health Education Coordinator allocation by 1.0 full time equivalent (FTE), to provide for the mandated position specified in said grant agreement.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
On November 14, 2017, the Board authorized the Director of the Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) to submit a grant application, and accept funding if awarded, to the California Department of Public Health for the Local Oral Health Program grant, in an estimated amount of $845,180, for a grant term beginning January 1, 2018 through June 30, 2022.
