Surveyor's Office recommending the Board adopt and authorize the Chair to sign Resolution 191-2020 for Abandonment of Easement 20-0007, to abandon a drainage easement on Lot 2 of Ridgeview West Unit No. 4, recorded in Book J of Subdivisions at Page 104, identified as Assessor's Parcel Number 120-700-002, within the community of El Dorado Hills, Supervisorial District 1.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
A request has been submitted by Treviso Ridgeview 7, LLC, a California Limited Liability Company, owner of Assessor's Parcel Number 120-700-002, requesting that the County of El Dorado, Board of Supervisors, vacate a drainage easement located on said property. Subject easement is more particularly described in Exhibit A and depicted on Exhibit B of the attached Resolution.
The Drainage easement, as shown on Lot 2 of Ridgeview West Unit No. 4, recorded in Book J of Subdivisions at Page 104, was offered to the County of El Dorado by Ridgeview Homes West, LLC, A California Limited Liability Company, on November 19, 2007. The easement was acknowledged and Rejected by the County of El Dorado on January 8, 2008, and the Subdivision Map was recorded on January 17, 2008.
ALTERNATIVES
An alternative would be to not adopt a Resolution of Vacation for Abandonment of Easement 20-0007. By utilizing this alternative, the owner of Assessor's Parcel 120-700-002, would be unable to pursue any development that would impact subject easement.

OTHER DEPARTMENT / AGENCY INVOLVEMENT
The El Dorado County Department of Transportation has not used said portion of subject easement for the purpose for which it was dedicated and find no present or future need exists for said portion of subject easement and do not object to its vacation, and to that end, has issued a letter to that effect.

Approve as recommended.
FINANCIAL IMPACT
The Surveyor”s Office collects a fee for processing the Abandonment of Easement on a time and materials basis. There is no fiscal impact as a result of the approval of this item.
CLERK OF THE BOARD FOLLOW UP ACTIONS
1) Clerk of the Board to obtain the Chair's signature on the one (1) Resolution.
2) Clerk of the Board to record the Resolution at the Recorder’s Office.
3) Clerk of the Board to return a copy of the recorded Resolution for further processing to the Surveyor's Office, Attn: Jane McClusky.
