Title: Health and Human Services Agency recommending the Board: 1) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign Amendment 1 to Agreement for Services 323-S1810, also known as 2109 with Natalie Patterson, for the provision of registered dietitian services, with no change to the term of the agreement, with an increase of $20,000 to the maximum contractual obligation for a new maximum obligation of $167,160; 2) Make findings in accordance with County Ordinance 3.13.030 that there are specialty skills, qualifications, and equipment not expressly identified in County classifications involved in the performance of the work; and 3) Authorize the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to execute further documents relating to Agreement for Services 323-S1810, also known as 2109, including amendments which do not increase the maximum dollar amount or term of the Agreement, and contingent upon approval by County Counsel and Risk Management. DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND:
The Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) senior meal program currently provides seniors with hot, nutritious meals every weekday for take-out and, when safety allows, meals will be provided at congregate meal sites located throughout El Dorado County. In addition, if individuals are medically or physically disabled, meals may be delivered to their homes. Eligibility for participation in the Senior Nutrition Program includes any person (age 60 or older), the spouse of an older individual, and persons with a disability under the age of 60 who reside in housing facilities occupied primarily by older individuals in which Senior Nutrition meals are provided, or a disabled person under the age of 60 who attends a congregate meal site with an older individual who participates in the dining program.
