DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
On July 23rd, 2013, the Board authorized the Chair to sign Lease Agreement No. 069-L1411 between the County of El Dorado (Lessor) and the Assembly Committee on Rules, California State Assembly (Lessee) for 96 square feet of space located at 2441 Headington in Placerville. On June 14th, 2016, the Board authorized the Chair to sign Amendment No. 1 to this lease which extended the term to February 28th, 2018, and provided a two-year renewal option (Paragraph 9, Option to Extend).
In 2013 California State Assemblyman Bigelow requested office space for a staff person at a centrally located County facility. State Assemblymen Bigelow represents El Dorado County east of South Shingle Road to South Lake Tahoe.
