Title: Library Department recommending the Board: 1) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign Lease Agreement 088-L1711 with Richard F. and Cheryl L. Anderson, Trustee(s) of the Richard F. DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

The Georgetown Library has occupied this leased space since 1993.  The building is used as a community library/hub for Georgetown checking out 35,000 items per year and serving  3,800 library users.  Cost of this space is $0.64/square foot for the 3-year term.

 

ALTERNATIVES

The Georgetown Library could move or close.

The Chief Administrative Office concurs with the department recommendation.

 

FINANCIAL IMPACT

Funding for the lease is included in the FY 2016-17 budget.   No change to Net County Cost.

 

CLERK OF THE BOARD FOLLOW UP ACTIONS

Board Clerk will forward to Procurement & Contracts a fully executed original copy of Amendment I to Lease Agreement No. 088-L0911 for distribution
