Chief Administrative Office, Facilities Division, recommending the Board consider the following:
1) Approve and authorize the Chair to sign Contract Change Order No. 12 with D. G. Granade, Agreement for Construction Services No. 479-C1499, to provide additional construction for a Spay and Neuter Clinic as related to the new Animal Shelter; and
2) Approve the increase in the contingency budget by $84,537.93 by transferring funds from the approved supplemental work budget.
FUNDING: Accumulated Capital Outlay (ACO) Fund / Tobacco Settlement Funds.

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost
There is no change in Net County Cost. Favorable bid results on the primary improvements and collaboration with non-profit organizations have created conditions for these improvements to be included in the project with no net change to the Animal Shelter construction budget
Reason for Recommendation
Pursuant to Board direction on Agenda Item No. 86, Legistar No. 13-0907, on June 10th, 2014, the Division negotiated terms for the addition of a Spay/Neuter Clinic (consisting of a preparation and surgery room) to the new Animal Shelter.
This Change Order No. 12 to Agreement for Construction Services No. 479-C1499 shall increase compensation by $84,537.93,extend the completion date to September 29th, 2014, and expand the scope of work to include construction of an animal surgery center as related to work for the new Animal Shelter project
Clerk of the Board Follow Up Actions
The Board clerk shall obtain the Chair's signature on the Change Order and return to the Division for processing.
