On July 13, 2020, the Purchasing Agent executed Agreement for Services No. 4970 with Christenson Consulting to provide project management and consulting services as related to the Department of Transportation’s (DOT), Maintenance and Operations garage building replacement located at 1121 Shakori Road, South Lake Tahoe, CA. The Agreement was established for a two-year term and a not-to-exceed amount of $71,850.

Project delays related to programming, COVID-19 induced supply chain issues and work staff shortages, the short construction season in the Sierras, and complex challenges with the Tahoe Regional Planning Association (TRPA) have caused the need to extend this agreement and include additional compensation. Accomplishments to date include completion of the schematic and design phases with the request for bid documents nearly finalized.

Amendment II would extend the agreement to March 31, 2024 and increase compensation by $85,600 for an amended not to exceed amount of $157,450. The amendment also provides for a rate increase to $175 per hour to be effective July 7, 2022, which is aligned with the industry average.
