DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

On February 24, 2015 (File No. 13-0510, Item No.47), the Board endorsed LRP’s first Work Plan that set priorities for County-initiated land use, housing, transportation, and stormwater projects/programs managed by LRP.

 

Subsequent updated LRP Work Plans were presented to the Board on the following agenda dates:

The attached Staff Memo (Attachment A) includes proposed priority projects for Fiscal Year (FY) 2023-24, Long Range Planning (LRP) ongoing activities, and staff resources.  Exhibited within Attachment A is the proposed Project Work Plan for FY 2023-24. Also  attached is a memo (Attachment C)  summarizing a request from a member of the public to consider an item for the LRP Work Plan.  This item has been evaluated by staff and is not recommended for inclusion on the LRP Work Plan, however the information is being provided for the Board’s consideration.

 

ALTERNATIVES

The Board could choose to direct staff to modify the Work Plan to better reflect the Board’s current priorities; or the Board could choose not to endorse the Work Plan.

FINANCIAL IMPACT

Funding for the proposed projects listed in the Work Plan (Attachment B) have been included in the FY 2023-24 Recommended Budget, with items carried over from the FY 22-23 Budget. Funding for these projects beyond FY 23-24 will be included in subsequent years’ budgets accordingly.
